PDD CMS Header

Trouble Shooting

Admin Page will not display. It is blank or gives an error code.

  1. Check your configuration file pdd-cms-config.php
  2. Make sure that each line has a ; at the end
  3. page_display_name =  "the name goes here"

After I edit my page and click submit I get, "an error page cannot be opened"

  1. Check your configuration file pdd-cms-config.php
  2. Make sure the extension is correct , .html , .shtml, .php, . xml or whatever you are using.
  3. Make sure that the name of the file is correct including spaces
  4. Check the file attributes; for most hosts a value of 644 is just fine. However, some hosts need a value of 775. This should be set on each of the files you have in the configuration file
Header information is removed

  1. I have found on some servers that if you have a single page sometimes the header information such as meta data and titles are removed. A solution to this is to do an include statement such as <?php include 'includes/headinfo.htm'; ?>  or  <!--#include file="includes/headinfo.htm" --> depending on what you are programming in. Or, you can use the free bonus template that is provided with the software
  2. The best way to use the system is to have the page and use the include statement for the content and have the CMS edit the  content pages then you will not have the loss of the header information
I did not get my confirmation Email
